Event planning for your business is very important for building your presence, attracting new customers and re-attracting former customers. It is also very easy for events to go very wrong, especially if you are running things all by yourself.

There are three specific problems that I have seen happen with solo-preneurs’ events over and over again. How often have you experienced any of these with your own events?

Three Big Event Planning Problems

1. Your event plans melted down at the last minute and were cancelled because you had no back-up plan or help to quickly fix things.

2. Your webinar or teleconference quickly deteriorated and the quality of your recording was poor because there was no back-up plan and no one to help you quickly fix the technical details.

3. Your event was cancelled because you didn’t have enough people to register to be able to cover expenses.

If any or all of these things have happened to you, you may already know where I am going with this. For those of you who want to learn from our mistakes, here is how to avoid these problems:

Solution 1) partner up:

–get a trusted colleague to assist you with the event planning so that you can exchange strengths to eliminate weakness and create a great plan along with contingency plans

Solution 2) outsource the technical piece for webinars or teleconferences:

–find a savvy tech person to co-host or produce your webinar or call with you so that you can focus on the presentation instead of all the technical details

Solution 3) outsource your marketing:

–find a savvy online marketer, like me, to help you with the online marketing piece so that you can use your time and energy to focus on making the best event plan possible and still get a better turn-out for the event (Recommend: My Event Plan Online Marketing Help)

I have been blessed to be around many successful entrepreneurs. I know that these are the things they are doing which are ushering in their success. They understand the power of collaborating and of outsourcing. I hope that you now get it, too.
